Saab 9-5 SportCombi serves as a somewhat quirky alternative to more-common wagons and crossover SUVs. Saab calls it a "SportCombi," but a station wagon is what it is. A turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces a surprising amount of power with good fuel economy. The Saab brand has a long tradition of touting turbocharged four-cylinder engines as the best compromise between power and economy. A sport package is available that accentuates its cornering abilities. Standard safety features include stability control, front side airbags, and anti-whiplash active front seat headrests. The car comes well-equipped with a handful of options, but there's little to please the lover of high-tech gadgets.
